Our Process

We Offer Custom Fabrication

Where The Process Begins:

The first step in the process is to get an estimate. We can come to your home or job site, measure the area and discuss your plans and expectations; or you can provide us with an accurate drawing of your project with measurements. Our estimate includes your entire project from beginning to end with no extra charges unless you change your project. It includes templating, materials, fabrication and installation of your countertops.

The next step is the selection of materials. We will assist you in selecting the stone for your countertops, the edge / profile, sink and faucet, and any other products you may want.

Once your decisions have been made and our estimate has been accepted we move on to a formal contract and schedule a date for your project. A 50% deposit is required with the approval of a formal contract. A tentative date to template your project is scheduled based on your (or your builder’s) time frame.

The Fabrication Process:

Once your cabinets are set, or old countertops are removed, by you or your contractor, we are ready to template your project. When we arrive to template you should be available to advise of any specific requirements such as placement of seams, radius corners, outlets in the backsplash, etc. These discussions are important so that both parties have a clear understanding as to the desired finished product. All sinks and fixtures need to be on site at the time of templating.

Once we begin the fabrication process it will take 1 to 2 weeks for your countertops to be ready for installation. Your selected stone slabs are cut in accordance with the templates with the edges polished by hand. This is a very labor intensive process and is time consuming. You are welcome to visit our shop during this process. We pride ourselves on providing a high quality product.

Installation Of Your Project:

When your countertops are complete and ready to be installed, our team of professional installers will bring them to your door. You do have to be home for the installation process. Upon our arrival you should have all entryways and hallways leading to your job location cleared of snow, ice, debris and clutter of any kind. Your stone countertops are extremely heavy and all care must be taken to ensure that our installers have a clear path to your job location. Depending on the size of your job, the installation will take anywhere from a few hours to a couple of days. You should be prepared to be without countertops and sinks during this time.

Upon completion of the installation, any questions you may have regarding the care and maintenance of the countertops can be addressed.
